We differentiate between standard Starlink installs and premium private installations depending on property complexity.

Standard Installation

Basic Starlink setup for simple homes with straightforward roof access and minimal cable routing.

Private Installation (Recommended)

For larger or complex homes requiring careful planning, better aesthetics and improved performance.

Architectural & Complex Roofs

A custom-designed Starlink mounts, Highly recommended for alpine tray, Euro tray, multi-level or architecturally designed homes.

Rural & Lifestyle Properties

Optimised setups for farms, large sections and remote Southern Lakes properties.

Important Information: Standard Starlink Installations (booked directly on Stalink website)

Standard Starlink installations are designed for basic, straightforward setups only.

They typically involve:

• Mounting the dish on the first suitable roof batten using a ladder (single-storey only unless pre-approved)
• Running the cable to the nearest power socket
• Sealing the entry point
• External cable run using clips
• Connecting router and confirming internet connection

For homes with complex roofing systems (such as alpine tray or euro tray), multi-storey access, or architectural design features, a private installation is strongly recommended for better reliability, aesthetics and long-term performance. Having worked in the region for many years, I've seen many technicians come and go. A significant part of my work now involves repairing poorly installed systems left behind by others. I believe in doing the job properly the first time—using secure mounting methods that prevent dishes from coming loose in strong winds, while ensuring your roof remains fully weatherproof with no leaks.
